Stay at Moss Cottage in Stratford-upon-Avon

Moss Cottage offers three en-suite rooms with private bathrooms and hospitality trays stocked with bottled water, tea, coffee, and biscuits. Guests receive free on-site parking and complimentary Wi-Fi in all rooms, with access to luggage storage facilities and daily housekeeping services. The property is non-smoking throughout and provides a tea/coffee maker in every room.

The morning meal includes a full English/Irish breakfast or continental options prepared with homemade ingredients, including bread, jams, and marmalade. Guests with dietary restrictions can choose vegan or gluten-free breakfast items, and the breakfast trifle course and homemade Greek yogurt with granola are offered. Sausages and bacon come from a local butcher, and the hosts also sell their homemade preserves to take home.

The property sits 1.5 km from Stratford-upon-Avon Train Station and less than 1 km from Anne Hathaway's Cottage. A 17-minute walk reaches the Royal Shakespeare Company, and the town centre is a 10- to 20-minute walk depending on pace. The nearby bus route 28 serves the area, and Stratford Racecourse lies just down the road.

The host Bill welcomes each guest with a cup of tea and homemade cake upon arrival, then provides printed maps, leaflets, and detailed walking routes to local attractions and theatres. Guests receive advice on shows, restaurants, and historical sites, and the host has been known to offer lifts to the train station after breakfast. The hosts are theatre enthusiasts and share insights about Shakespeare's works and Stratford's past.

The small three-room property creates a communal dining atmosphere where guests can connect over breakfast. Early check-in is often accommodated, and cars can remain parked on-site after checkout for sightseeing. Luggage storage is provided, and the room is cleaned and supplies replenished daily.
