About This Hotel

37 Grove Rd, Stratford-upon-Avon

Family-run guest house steps from Royal Shakespeare Theatre with room-delivered breakfast baskets

Key details

Location

Ashgrove House sits a 5-10 minute walk from Stratford-upon-Avon's town centre, train station, and the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. The property backs onto a small park, and the Cotswold region, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, begins in Stratford. Free, pre-bookable parking is available in an allocated spot roughly 70 metres from the front door.

Breakfast

Guests select breakfast items the evening before, choosing from a menu that includes hot sandwiches, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, and juices. Each morning, a basket with the chosen items is delivered to the room at a preferred time. This room-service approach, unique among Stratford B&Bs, includes fresh milk and a fridge in every room.

Rooms

The 5 rooms range from a Single Room with Private External Bathroom to a Large Family Room, each equipped with a fridge, iron, hairdryer, and tea and coffee facilities. Some rooms have en-suite bathrooms, while others use private external bathrooms. Beds are fitted with multiple pillows, and rooms are freshly made up daily with bathrobes provided in some units.

Services

The hotel offers a secure car park at the rear of the property, with luggage assistance available on request. Guests receive a complimentary local guide and map upon arrival, and hosts provide advice on walking routes and dining. Check-in is between 11:00 and 13:00 and 16:00 and 20:00, with early luggage drop-off possible.

Family-Friendly

The Large Family Room sleeps up to 4 guests and includes a fridge, real milk, and a fridge with water. Breakfast baskets are served to the room, allowing families to eat at their own pace. Cots are available on request, and the nearby park offers space for children to play.
